Funny for Fido stand -up comedy events bring the country’s top comedians together each month to raise money for homeless and abused animals. Your tickets pay for veterinary care, food, training, transport, temporary and permanent housing for animals that would otherwise be killed. We are a non- profit 501c3. Tickets are tax deductible.
Justin Silver is a rising star in the stand up comedy world. He can be seen regularly at the Comedy Cellar, Caroline’s on Broadway, and Stand Up NY on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. A Queens native, Justin is also passionate about animal rights. He spent over a decade rehabilitating and caring for abused animals before opening a full-service pet care organization in New York entitled The Language of Dogs. Justin recently founded the Funny For Fido organization, where comedians ‘stand up for homeless animals.’ The non-profit organization books fundraising shows to help support volunteer-based, no-kill animal shelters. Funny For Fido has lured some of the biggest names in the New York comedy scene, including Colin Quinn, Amy Schumer, Judah Friedlander, Big Jay Oakerson, and the late Patrice O’Neal. Currently, Justin mixes his love of both dogs and comedy into the reality series Dogs in the City. The series, which airs nationally on CBS, features Justin as the host and “dog guru.” Justin helps his clients solve their assortment of pet issues. Justin lives in New York City.
Originally from Aurora, CO, Dan Soder started doing stand-up at 21 while attending the University of Arizona. After two years of playing clubs and casinos all over the southwest, Dan decided he'd had enough of extreme heat and venomous animals, so he moved to New York to get serious about stand-up. After living in New York for six years Dan has been featured on Comedy Central's Live at Gotham, Conan, and appeared on Opie and Anthony. This year, you can see him on Comedy Central's The Half Hour and also see his commentary as a new cast member of MTV2's Guy Code.
Jessica Kirson's unique style and captivating stage presence captures the attention of audiences and club bookers everywhere she performs. Her wide variety of characters brings a diverse energy to her routine. Once you’ve seen her amazing talent, it’s easy to understand why she was selected to perform at the Hamptons, Toyota, Marshall's Women in Comedy, Comedy Central's South Beach, Montreal, and HBO's Las Vegas comedy festivals. She was awarded "Best Female Comic" by the MAC association in New York City and recently accepted the Nightlife Award for "Best Stand-up Comedian" in New York City. Her YouTube channel "The Jessy K Show" has more than 100 videos with a combined total of over 2.5 million views. In 2013, she launched her own podcast titled, "The Jessica Kirson Podcast."

￼Paul performs all over the country and many of the nation's top comedy clubs have called him one of the strongest up and comers working today. Recently, Paul was a semi-finalist for NY's Funniest Comic Competition for the NY Comedy Festival in NYC. He also opened for Bill Burr at Carnegie Hall where he killed in front of sold out 2800 people which was also part of the NY Comedy Festival. Paul's Stand-Up can be heard on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio daily. He has recently made a TV appearance on Fox's "Redeye" Spike TV and wrote for the 2011 ESPN Espy Awards. He has opened numerous times for some of the best comedians in the business. Comics such as Dave Attell from Comedy Central's "Insomniac"and Bill Burr from Comedy Central's "Chappelle's Show" and his one hour special "Let It Go" are just a couple. Paul has also shared the stage with the likes of Tracey Morgan, Bob Saget, Christopher Titus and Louis CK. Paul never fails in keeping the laughs coming and making the audience feel comfortable with his hard hitting personal approach. He is fun to watch and has a great stage presence.
Yamaneika Saunders has been captivating audiences with her dynamic stage presence for over a decade and across the entire country. Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, Yamaneika has since tackled both the New York and LA comedy scene by combining her high energy improv skills with a unique vulnerable perspective on life. This mix forces her to go beyond the typical humor one would expect to hear, and allows her to connect to audiences from any background. A semi-finalist on Last Comic Standing, one of the stars of Funny Girls on Oxygen and panelist on The Meredith Vieira Show, Yamaneika is finally bringing her talents to the world stage; let's just hope they can handle her...
Mehran Khaghani is a standup comedian, emcee, actor, event producer, upstart, social advocate, serial yeller, trouble-maker, love-spreader, line-pusher and general intellect of intimidating proportion currently living in New York City. Remarkably gay and of Iranian descent, Mehran has a well earned reputation as a performer who can make any event a raucous, joyous success.
He has been a finalist in multiple comedy festivals, tours nationally, was featured on Season 9 of NBC’s Last Comic Standing, has been seen on MTV, Comedy Central, IFC, TruTV and Seeso and is a regular at the world famous Comedy Cellar in New York City. Mehran currently hosts one of New York’s hottest weekly bar shows, Hush Money, every Monday night at Pinks bar in the East Village and cohosts Paid or Pain for Sirius Radio.
